Comparison of 3D printers

@big therm

Um…yeah…if you would spend some time thinking about it you would come to the conclusion that “glamour shots” actually enhance flaws. So your print would look a lot worse if it would have been photographed under these “fancy” lighting conditions. Every print looks good on a cell phone pic.

My unbiased opinion is that the robo print lacks definition. All direction changes are softened significantly compared to UP and Zortrax. It’s an OK print but it’s miles from being a tie with the Zortrax.

Other than that I would recommend that you start reading manuals about social interaction…your attitude and tone need some fine tuning in my mind.

@Big Therm

Nobody here spent more than 10 seconds to take perfect shots - SLR camera is the answer. I become professional photographer 10 seconds after unpacking my SLR camera, but for 3D prints more good quality of picture enhance more details/flaws which normally are not so visible.

number 6 (zortrax) looks better than number 5 and 4 ...what are they talking about?

The zortrax print looks MUCH better than the robo one. There is some serious z wobble on the robo print. I can’t believe anyone can say the zortrax looks worse with a straight face.

yea.. your UM2 needs some love.

heres my Ultimaker2 print:

Cura settings, no finetuning. factory setup. no support. 0.1mm layers

ABS or PLA?

So now when Z-suite 0.0.9 is out i printed those again. As you can see gosthing is now reduced and can almost not be found! Also seam is more smartly placed and i like that alot. So this problem with ghosting and seam is greatly improved and i am very happy about it.  :)

To Mark82, this is why i post pic's and point out bad things so it later on can be improved on by Zortrax.

Part to the left is printed with Z-suite 0.0.9 and to the right z-suite 0.0.8. All settings was the same.

Look at the difference with ghosting! Z-suite 0.0.9 is amazing.

Also top is better, not the best part to show it but it fills out to perimeters abit better and looks smoother.

Elf hut i mostly wanted to show how seam is now hiding at differnet place, so much better than before imo. Blue is with 0.0.9 and grey with 0.0.8

Can't compare toy to semi-professional machine :P

Trhuster I'll print this part for you :) If someone will have any cool parts to print just upload it on this thread :)

Could you try to print this part with other printers you have?

It has printed all ready with Zortrax M200, so we know the results..

I`m interested how easy is the support removing ;).
