Interesting. PLA with the Zortrax ;)
You would be surprised...
Just google for "m200 materials guide pla" and just open the non official links.

Both have their pitfalls, but despite Zortrax coming off as a bit arrogant sometimes I believe they do a better printer.
I haven't seen the UP box, but I do have 3 UP plus's and have had to deal with their customer service and reasonably shonky build quality. They'll send you parts for free if you have a problem, but they're often as bad a quality as the one's you need to replace.
For me the Zortrax is the clear choice, it's a better machine. BUT, you'll be lucky if they answer you let alone honor warranty.
I just wish they'd lighten up a bit sometimes.

Exactly how I feel. I've been emailing their sales division in order to decide on buying a zortrax and I have to send them a reminder email every single time in order for them to respond. I've been emailing them over two weaks now and they wont respond right away to my emails even if I send it 5 minutes after I got their email! I honestly might go for the LULzbot mini , their sales department emailed me in 4 hours more than zortrax has done in over two weaks!!! Man I feel like I've been emailing them to beg for money!!!

Thanks for the tip ;)
I get what you are saying but the Upbox can either print with ABS or PLA (as far as I know). What I'm naw thinking of is to get the Lulzbut Mini since it has amazing print quality and can print with low price material that can do this job easily like cheap brand PETG. If you see some flaws with this reasoning please explain.
Well... If another category enters the contest (Lulzbot Mini) let me put another printer on the dance: Craftbot. Near the same tag price, bigger build volume. Mine do a good job side by side with M200. I'm not directly comparing CB and Z, they are different fruits. But sometimes I prefer the Craftbot. By example, I'm printing some simple curved rails 23cm long, on the Craftbot I can have it quicker and better in PLA, no need of raft, higher speed (sliced with Simplify3D). But if I have a complex model I'll choose the Z.

Well I don't have the budget for two printers. the mini prints small detailed parts excellently and can print large objects with PETG. Moreover, as you mentioned I can get the excellent simplify 3d and avoid shortcomings of Z-suite such as thin walls and solid fell(I found these two problems while going throught the forum) . problem is I hear PETG is bad as support and the mini is open frame(I'll be using th printer inside my room)

Yes.
I did go on to say that I've got 3 UP Plus's and have seen build quality that doesn't impress.
What I didn't say is that I've had it on good authority that there's been a lot of problems with the UP box.
So yes, I'm serious.

I'd still go for the Zortrax M200.
For end user ABS parts, it's the best there is IMHO.
Mods are available to run other materials, but they don't like it.
Warranty is sketchy on all printers it seems.
Warranty is sketchy. especially if u are in another continent from the seller. although I'm not sure all companies behave in this same way
Here is the exact part. base being 7 cm in x and y with 4 mm thickness walls. there is an enforcing ring in the middle with 8 by 8 cm. the height is 11.5 cm to be precise.here is an attachment of this part
Told before that I currently test / print some dangerous filament...
First spool was nearly done but have another one and don't want to change the nozzle now, that's why I just printed your part with the remainder of the spool (wich was not enough to complete the print).
Not so brittle! There is room for improvement to better place the part and adjust support (if part cannot be changed for it).
I'm convinced that printing it with Z-ABS does not cause unmanageable warping issues and probably a bit easier support removal.

How are you making the craftbot work with simplify 3d? I found some profiles but when I load the file it shows different errors.
I'm using Cura but it can't handle 200x200 parts
I'm using Cura but it can't handle 200x200 parts
I was using Cura for the UM2 (and others) last year.
Why should it not be able to handle 200x200 (see my settings for the UM2)?
Thanks alot Z renegade I really appreciate that. print is great but why is one of the eye holes on the back missing?
another thing, I talked to the french seller of M200 and he said that he doesn't want to be paid by PayPal account because I can withdraw my payment and it is not safe for them as sellers. instead he would like me to pay with my credit card. should I be worried? I should note that I live in Kuwait and that is way out of europe.

Really way out of Europe, no local Shop to order?
About the print, it's not completed because the spool got empty before it was finished (wrote that above).
About Paypal, yes you should worry and no a buyer cannot just withdraw his payment. But I know a french reseller (don't want to name it) that had a hard time with a customer that just opened a Paypal claim after receiving the second defective printer. After the first defective printer there was chance to step back from the order in between 14 days because of EU consumer rights, but negotiated agreement was to exchange the printer. After the 2nd one was defective also discussions started that now it's over the 14 days limit and the printer has to be repaired (by the customer after receiving spares after some weeks).
You might already have recognized that that customer was actually me and I decided not to go into discussions and wait for longer that's why I opened that PP case because receiving a defective item. Dealers option was to take it back and refund or send a working printer.
I would always insist on PP payments for deals with foreign countries. Customer pay in advance and dealers have to deal with potential issues and if they don't PP helps you out of this.
There is a seller in UAE but they are very expensive and charge the same as poland and france for shipping. The origional company as usual didn’t answer me yet. I agree with you perfectly on PayPal, I don’t want to get stuck with a disfunctional printer that I paid 2000 dollars for. If he wont accept PayPal payment I will look for another dealer or unfortanitly will have to sittle for the lulzbot mini

Well. here you can see it not handling a 200x200 part.

simply put: UP! Box < Zortrax every time. And yes I print on both because it is part of my job. Same reason I own a Zortrax over a Box, M200 is just a better machine in almost every way only lacking in the flexibility in material ease of use even with workarounds.
