Up Box VS Zortrax M200

By the way renegade, How much material did this part consume and how long did it take to print?

See Z-Suites proposal (14,5 hours and 150g). I printed over night with spool running out of filament, so I cannot tell (I also never measure).

WOW thats alot of time!!

Ah I see leaving the forums for a few days makes for some long threads to read. I rated the Zortrax over the box, however the Box has an easier time with PLA's and PC's. There are different versions of the Box and Afinia, while they may not admit to it the early versions of the machines cannot compete with the current ones, there were flaws with the Box that made it next to useless IMO. The one we have in the office works because we know how to manipulate it to our will.

If we go Apples to Apples the M200 wins every time. I did not include Z-temp because that is not something I can speculate on in terms of market saturation, and while the Box/Afinia do not come standard with a temp mod I know how many get shipped with printers or picked up at a later date.

There happy ;D

The M200 is not a Formula 1 printer and you have to take into account that there is much support generated that has to be printed also.

The print object and support requirements can be optimized but don't expect this to be printed in 2-3 hours.

Some of us have prints going over 3 or more days for a single object.

Speed is not everything.

It is almost always directly related to print quality.
