version 1.00

Drag&Drop not working for me.

All buttons are too small.

Windows 8.1

+1 re buttons too small and also text too small and low-contrast. I sit about 75cm from my monitor and I can barely read the new UI without leaning forward and squinting.

yer must admit that the text and buttons are a pain in the ass , had to put on my glasses and get close to read it properly

Form over function  <_<

Here is my feedback on the user interface after using Version 1.00.

Text and icons are difficult to see

   Size is too small

Contrast is too low between text and background

In the Pause function, need the previous ability to set pause by dimension in addition to %

Mousing over the icon, it is difficult to get the name text to display

I like the addition of the Help link to the User Manual, this will assist students.

Agree 100%! I didn't notice that this had been changed. Personally, I always enter pause location by distance from the bottom of the part, never by percentage.

What resolution do you have set ?

You can no longer type what % you want anymore either. You have to use the slider..

well this proves that i'm still young as i dont really have a problem reading the text , even in dense ppi monitors (ok it's small and the whole template is relatively flat),

[my turn to whine] BUT my main complaint regarding the ergonomics of the new version, is the repositioning of important info at the margins of the main window, for example the horizontal footer panel. Previously this info popped out. Now my eyes seem to skip it, especially in full screen mode where this region is so far from the model, the info becomes too remote... and a smaller complaint is about the new workflow with all the choices being on the left. the previous position of print/save on the right side etc felt more natural [/my turn to whine]

performance/feature wise it's a BIG step-up, leaving us with appetite for more :)

Definitely agree with info placement; the block on the right made much more sense.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but oddly under advanced settings for calibration of holes you can not enter more than a tenth of a decimal.  In other words the .13 hole offset becomes .1mm or .2mm.  Or like other programs, it's taking that precision if input but not showing it that way.  Be great to know from Zortrax if it's accepting hundreths or rounding up or down to tenths.

Its there. The boxes are just small so when you type it in only the first two numbers show 0.1 rather than what is there like 0.14.

Oh!  didn't realize that I need to look at that when I get back to my office. Oops! thanks for clarifying that Heavenly Creation

Agree, buttons are too small.

Drag and drop seems to start working after you have run z-suite a couple times. Been like this for the last 4 or so updates. Not sure why.

Yes indeed. Now Drag&Drop works after many restart.

@labrat: Don't worry. I'm sorry as well we misunderstood. I can read, write and speak english but it's not my mother language so I easily miss to fully understand complex sentences or ways of saying.

V1.01 works on windows xp and I'm testing it. What I really miss apart most said is the feature to inspect the sliced model layer by layer or maybe I'm not finding the way to use it anymore. In the previous versions I could move the pointer to the slider and then using arrow keys check the rendering layer by layer. Very useful when inspecting details. Now such keys just rotate the view and the slider's steps are by percent, so it can even skip tens of layers for each step. Same for the mouse wheel in such situation, it does nothing now.

I like a lot the honeycomb infill rendering, that is something I suppose zortrax introduced to make us happy, but I think that it should be of a different color then walls. So we can understand how it is affecting the model.

I'm not able to "select all" or "copy" using ctrlA and ctrlC anymore it seems.

How are those operations carried out now?

Still works on mine.. Just have to wait a few seconds after model loads. You on 1.01 and PC or MAC?

You can no longer type what % you want anymore either. You have to use the slider..

However it is possible to use left and right cursor keys to fine tune the exact layer on which set the pause.

it doesen't work anymore with 1.0 and 1.01, at least on my computer. Cursor keys now rotate the model.

Try this: after you have prepared to print your model, click pause button and then click on the slider of the percentage selector. Now, typing the left and right cursor key you should be able to select exactly the layer where you want to insert the pause.
